My suite mate in college, Rachel, now coaches soccer at a local high school which is how I connected with Katherine for her senior portraits. Like many seniors this 2020 her final year in high school played out really differently than anticipated. This year, more than ever, we need to celebrate our seniors! They worked so hard and had to end the year without the normal milestones- the final days in school, the senior pranks, PROM and GRADUATION!
Most senior sessions include an outfit change but this year we added a twist- all the girls already bought gorgeous prom dresses that sat unused. So we did the standard cap and gown looks and then she changed into her seriously gorgeous red prom dress! If it couldn’t see her senior prom, at least the dress got the attention it deserves. What I loved most was how everyone stopped to say “congratulations!” Or “you’re so beautiful” to Katherine. You could just feel the support from total strangers, even in the midst of a pandemic.
