I returned to Silo Falls Manor for the third time this year and for the third time, I was gifted the most beautiful weather. Bright warm sun, but this time with that lovely fall breeze. This is why Fall weddings in Maryland are the most popular – everyone wants the day Tia and Michael had.
After their engagement session, I knew Tia would be a radiant bride, but even I was taken aback. Her eyes are just so bright and when you add the wedding dress, she is effortlessly beautiful. We did a “bridesmaids first look” and I understood their reactions perfectly.
Their ceremony was the simple quiet kind. Long, loving looks, laughs with their family, and heartfelt vows. After the ceremony, the Michael I knew from the engagement session came full force. He is a perfect host- shaking everyone’s hand, making everyone smile. He has these fast silly looks in-between the model looks, and he bounces between them quickly.
As guests drifted to the cocktail hour on the side patio under bistro lights, we made our way to the tree grove and pond on the property. It seemed to hit they are finally married- they bounced between these big giddy smiles, and these softer moments of looking at each other.
The reception, despite only being 50 people, was as lively as any larger wedding. The toasts were both meaningful and hilarious and when the dancing started, everyone was on their feet. At one point in the night, the guys made their way to one of the many fire pits at Silo Falls, for a celebratory cigar. We then ended the night with a wonderful sparkler exit.
