When looking for a beautiful country wedding venue in Westminster Maryland, with top notch service Montagu Meadows is the place to go! Amanda and Andy had one of those rare, relaxed wedding mornings. When I arrived, everyone was getting ready but all was calm, none of the usual frantic getting ready panic was there. It was lovely!
One of the things I loved most about Montagu Meadows was that it had a dedicated bridal suite and a grooms suite that both felt like they belonged at the same venue. The bridal suite in particular was completely white-washed so the light bounced around beautifully and with little touches of vintage charm that just made for stunning portraits. It’s no wonder her Dad was in tears after their first look.
As we moved to the ceremony, their priest really movingly welcomed everyone by referencing the unique times we are under. The Montague Meadows ceremony space is under a grove of old chestnut trees- which he pointed out is incredibly rare in the US due to a blight that wiped most of them out decades ago. But these ones survived, as we all survived this pandemic.
Of course my favorite moment is after the family heads to cocktail hour and it’s just the newly married couple. The smiles are different- you did it! Montagu Meadows just spoiled us with location options- a little bit of trees, a bright teal pond, big open farm fields with the perfect setting sun and a golf cart to drive us around- it is such a pleasure working at venues that really aid us in being efficient and really care about helping you get the photos you want.
Finally, we danced the night away with a little break for the ice cream truck!
