New Home Office Spaces

Like many couples, Ryan and I are now also co-workers. Despite what all the cartoons and memes would have you believe, it’s actually been a really smooth transition! Thanks to Zoom, I’ve never had so many people “in” my home office so I also thought it was time to properly share our new home office spaces with you (in fairness there isn’t a lot else to photograph right now).

We already had one room dedicated as a home office that I’ve mostly taken over. Photography gear takes a lot of space! And before the pandemic, I was already working from home 2 days a week. Recently we rearranged the space but after moving to full time tele-work, Ryan thought we needed to adjust the decor to be a little more…aspiration. Perhaps a little more tropical! There is still some artwork we want to switch out, a new side table to buy, and certainly some cord management to work through, but it certainly feels more homey. And makes me a little desperate to go back to tropical beaches.

However that left us one office short. We decided a door was a necessity so that left us with either making our bedroom Ryan’s home office or the guest bedroom. Considering we are not having many guests over right now, the choice became easy. We swapped our entry table for the shelves we had in the bedroom and it actually makes the perfect desk for Ryan. Plus more storage for the entry area! A few personal nick-knacks and boom! Quarantine home office for Ryan! Since we are now spending so much time in these spaces we figured a little extra effort was well worth it!
