When Kellie emailed me to set up family photos she remarked how the last full family portrait they had was when their boys were in elementary school. Now they were teenagers! Amazing how fast life moves!

I met them at their home and we walked to the park behind their home. I know photos are not exactly a teenage boys’s favorite thing but both boys really were champions. They smiled and walked with their parents and they even tolerated Kellie’s hugs- very gratiously.

So how do you get teenagers to smile for the camera. I’ll give you the trick but it’s hard for parents to hear. You have to leave! I know- it sounds so harsh but no teenager wants to pose for a photographer while their Mom is scrutinizing them or telling them to smile. I know- you could imagine the eye roll!
